Directed by Japanese hip-hop queen Awich, HABUSH is a unique Okinawan spirit that blends cultural heritage with a bold, modern identity. Deeply connected to her Okinawan roots, Awich brings a contemporary edge to this traditional concept, reimagining Habu liquor into a refined and approachable expression.
HABUSH is made by infusing Habu extract with 13 carefully selected herbs, resulting in a smooth yet complex herbal liqueur built on an awamori base.
The Habu, known for its resilience, is carefully processed while fresh, with only the bones, meat, and skin used for extraction. These are steeped in high-proof alcohol to draw out rich umami components, before being blended with herbal extracts that soften and round the profile.
The spirit is then aged to enhance depth and balance, creating a refined and approachable character despite its powerful concept. The herbal complexity and smooth finish make it versatile, whether enjoyed straight or mixed.
Awamori, the base of HABUSH, is Japan’s oldest distilled spirit, originating in Okinawa as early as the 15th century. Made using long-grain Indica rice and black koji, it contributes a rich, earthy foundation to the final blend.
