Shibataya Liquor Store was founded by Goro Shiba in Nakano Ward, Tokyo in 1935 (Showa 10) as a private company. Initially engaged in retail sales for home use, the company decided to shift its focus entirely to wholesale sales to businesses with high barriers to entry after determining that it would be affected by the deregulation of liquor retail licenses. The company decided to focus on wine proposals as its unique feature, choosing to pursue a path of honing its expertise. As a result, the company now does business with over 4,000 customers throughout the Tokyo metropolitan area, achieving remarkable results, particularly in wine and craft beer.
SAKE-YA JAPAN Co., Ltd.
SAKE-YA JAPAN is a company that was born from the grouping of the experience and knowledge of alcohol sales that Shibataya Sake Store has cultivated in the alcohol wholesale industry, and the know-how of beer brewing and store management of Beer Planning Co., Ltd. SAKE-YA is a store with a retail space where you can eat and drink and buy your favorite alcohol to take home. Beer Kobo is a brewpub where you can drink freshly brewed craft beer. We also operate a hybrid store that combines both beer.

We import directly from overseas producers and sell sake through our overseas subsidiaries. Our mission is to deliver wonderful products that have not yet been introduced to Japan to discerning restaurants and other value-seeking consumers, and to spread Japan's wonderful sake all over the world.
SKL Co., Ltd.
SKL Co., Ltd. was formed by separating the logistics division of our parent company, Shibataya Holdings, and integrating procurement, center management, and logistics. We have been refining our ability to deliver not only products but also "excitement," and through sales drivers' sales-successful proposals and thorough product management, we will deliver "new excitement" that delights our customers every day.
